11/12/14 Task 4
Task 4
How have we decided to stage Tale 4?
We staged it with everyone starting off in different spots with umbrellas, whilst Nina walks through, after sometime we transform from the umbrellas to a human made path, symbolizing the girl walking down the road and spotting the old woman. Then we transform into the three ales and check out in the shop, back to the house of the girl and her dad.
These past few week I have developed my ensemble skills whilst working with my class and smooth transformation skills. I did this by keeping track of my stage directions and joining in with group discussions about the scene.I also rehearsed my stage placing as well.
Return to all of the sections of the text we have staged so far. Select a line from each that sums up that tale.
Prologue- "Pick up more punters"
East End Tales 1- Girls- "Even the traffic stops for him when he crosses the road"
East End Tales 3- "But his past is where it's really snowing"
East End Tales 4- "Being lonely"
11/12/14 Tale 3
Tale 3
How have we decided to stage Tale 3?
We staged Tale 3 at a pub with the bar at the back of the stage and everyone sitting around the stage facing in.
What characters do you play in this tale?
I play what everyone else is playing a person in the pub telling a story about someone who we know. I also play an electrician, who interacts with the audience.
What is the atmosphere of Tale 3? How is this different to what we have created for Tale 1 & 2?
